Welcome to our family’s A-frame cabin in Sunshine Valley!

As a family of six — with three adventurous kids and a dog who loves the outdoors — we dreamed of creating a space where families could slow down, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories.

From cozy corners to starry nights, we hope you feel right at home and leave feeling refreshed and inspired.

Who is The Hidden Eh best suited for?

The Hidden Eh is designed for families, couples, and friends looking for a quiet getaway to relax, reconnect, and enjoy nature together.

Families are absolutely welcome! Please note that the cabin has stairs and is not baby-proofed, so supervision is recommended for younger children.

Our cabin is best suited for peaceful getaways and nature retreats. We do not allow parties, events, excessive noise, or disruptive gatherings at the property.

Where is the cabin located?

The cabin is in Sunshine Valley, BC — a peaceful mountain community just 15 minutes from Hope and around 2 hours from Vancouver. It’s nestled between forested peaks, with easy access to hiking, snowshoeing, and more, right from the doorstep.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is anytime after 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you’d like to request early check-in or late check-out, feel free to ask — we’ll do our best to accommodate you if our cleaning schedule allows.

Is the cabin accessible all year round?

Yes! Sunshine Valley is accessible in all seasons, but in the winter months, snow tires are mandatory and 4WD is highly recommended due to potential snowfall. The roads are plowed regularly.

Is the kitchen fully equipped, and are there grocery stores nearby?

The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals during your stay, including a full-size stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glassware, and a wide selection of cooking utensils.

From time to time, you may find pantry items left by previous guests or stocked by our team. While we’re happy to leave these items available when possible, availability cannot be guaranteed and guests should plan to bring any specific ingredients they require for their stay.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes — we offer reliable high-speed Wi-Fi, perfect for streaming, remote work, or staying connected if needed. That said, many guests take this opportunity to unplug and enjoy nature!

Are visitors and pets allowed?

Only registered guests included in the reservation are permitted on the property unless approved in advance. This helps us protect the cabin, respect our neighbours, and ensure the best experience for all guests.

We welcome up to 2 approved dogs per stay. Please include pets in your reservation request prior to arrival. Undisclosed pets are not permitted.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation for cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival.
Cancellations made between 14 and 30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund (minus service fees).
Cancellations made less than 14 days before check-in are non-refundable.
In certain cases, we can transfer your deposit into a gift certificate to be used toward a future stay.
Please note: Third-party bookings may be subject to different policies, and we are unable to waive cancellation fees for these reservations.

Fire Ban Policy

The outdoor firepit is subject to local fire bans, restrictions, and bylaws, particularly during the summer months and periods of elevated wildfire risk. For the safety of our guests, neighbouring properties, and the surrounding forest, this amenity may not be available for use at certain times.

Guests are responsible for checking and complying with all current local fire bans, restrictions, and bylaws before using the firepit. Failure to do so may result in fines, liability for damages, and immediate termination of your stay.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping keep our community and forests safe.

Amenities & Temporary Outages

While we work hard to ensure all amenities are available and functioning for your stay, occasional outages, maintenance, weather events, or utility interruptions may occur that are beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding should any temporary disruptions arise.
